This week saw the first of Creative Photography’s advanced landscape courses. We touch on landscape in the intermediate with a sunset shoot which is great fun for long exposures and the misty water look. This time we shoot sunset then sunrise the next day.
Starting in the studio we practiced a couple of the techniques that we would be using later. I was impressed with the touch screen on Tracey’s Canon 650D. Not sure how that will affect the look of images on the back with finger marks but so many people are used to the smart phone touch screens nowadays it’s probably going to be the next big thing on cameras. Here’s a picture I took on a recent trip to the lake district!
I went to Keswick on the west side of the lakes. After a good look around I hired a bike and fortunately took the advice of the bike shop owner and went up to Ashness bridge. The climb up was hideous! I had to climb off an walk the steepest bits!
The bridge is apparently the most photographed in the north of England, three other togs did come up while I was there (sensibly using cars) proving it’s popularity!!
I bought a small travel tripod from Guernsey Photographics as I wanted to travel light and was glad I did after a day in the hills!
